Xoops is a CMS (content management system) built in PHP using a mysql database. It’s purpose is to help give clients an easy way to manage content and run a website. It is in fact very easy to use once setup. In fact the setup process is quite easy as well. You will find with Xoops that there are many plugins available ranging all from all sorts of topics and functions. This gives Xoops the ability to be very “customizable” and is perfect for using when setting up a basic website.
The community behind Xoops is very large. There are literally hundreds of thousands of developers worldwide contributing to the xoops framework and adding plugins. For collaborative reasons I think it’s one of the best content management systems out there. Give it a try.
