I came across a cool tool recently while reading through the everybodygoto.com weblog, which I read often by the way due to it’s fantastic information. I recommend this blog to all my readers. The tool is called Who is Hosting This? located at www.whoishostingthis.com. The tool let’s you see what company is hosting a particular website. All you do is enter in a domain name of the site you want to view the hosting provider on and click the “tell me” button. They not only tell you what company is hosting that site, but they give you a link to their website. So give it a try. It’s a free service. Of course it is or I would not be writing about it.
Why would I need this? Good question. If you are running a business and have several websites with different providers it’s good to keep track of who’s hosting what. Also, if you have businesses you work with and what to recommend them to a better service like Bluehost, you can see who there provider is first. Then make your recommendation. Ha Ha!

When I enter chasesagum.com in the http://www.whoishostingthis.com website it displays Bluehost and not Hostmonster as the web hosting company you are using. Netcraft shows chasesagum to be hosted on Hostmonster.
