Where are all the Premium Drupal Themes? Why is there not good competition in this market? Drupal is fast becoming the best open source content management system. And that is being modest. Yet the highest quality premium themes are still being created for Wordpress and not for Drupal. Sure there are a collection of Premium themes out there for Drupal, but many of them are junk! And I mean alot of them are!

Here’s Why Premium Themes Are A Good Thing

When designers get in and start figuring out there is money to be made from Drupal premium themes, the overall advancement of Drupal themes will increase. The same thing happened with Wordpress until groups such as WooThemes came along and started creating some killer themes. Then better free themes started to be released to help compete. Drupal is need of the same thing.

It appears that designers are not jumping on this bandwagon yet with Drupal because the Drupal themes are a little more difficult for them to create than Wordpress themes. I sure hope this changes. I have contacted two Drupal premium theme creators that look the most promising to see what their opinions are and to see what might be doing in the near future to change this. I will keep you updated.
