Firefox has been for a long time the best browser for me, and for anyone for that matter. Internet Explorer and Safari are only used by me for testing purposes of the websites I create. Otherwise I would get rid of those in a heartbeat.  And Opera was my extra browser. I used it to see it’s browser technology and keep up on what’s going on in the Browser world.  But now that Google has released it’s own browser Chrome, I am now using it as my extra browser rather than Opera.ÂÂ

Why? There just doesn’t seem to be room for Opera anymore! At least on my computer. Firefox still stands as the #1 browser, but Google’s new Chrome is up and coming strong and honestly because it’s Google i’m sure it will eventually overtake Firefox.

Goodbye Opera. It’s been fun!

I am an advocate of the Firefox open source web browser! I assumed most people knew I was but I just wanted to set the record straight anyway. I wanted to take the “mic” for just a short time and give Firefox it’s props and plug it into everything we are talking about here. Firefox is what got me interested and eventually obsessed with this whole open source market in the first place. Firefox is the most terrific browser ever created and it just keeps on getting better. I’m still surprised to see and hear of people who only use Internet Explorer. Nothing feels better than installing the Firefox browser on someone’s computer for the first time. You honestly feel like you are doing this wonderful service to that person.

So in case you are one of my readers who still uses Internet Explorer as your browser, this my opportunity to tell you to stop while you still can! Please! For your sake. Go to www.firefox.com and download the latest version of Firefox. Stay on top of www.spreadfirefox.com to stay up-to-date on what’s going on with the browser and to help spread it to your friends and family. Don’t let your friends and family use Internet Explorer.
