If you are looking for a quick and easy module for your Drupal site to embed videos from social video sites such as YouTube, Google Video, Vimeo etc. Then look no further than the Video Filter Module for Drupal. This is a highly flexible and easy extendable filter module to embed any type of video in your site using a simple tag. Included codecs for the module currently include:

It’s a very good module, but it needs expanding to cover more video services by default.
There are a few video services who have had an issue with a fix for for quite a while, but the module seems to be dead with regards to new additions.
It works, and works well, but it is artificially holding itself back.

There doesn’t seem to be any way to include a thumbnail gallery view of any kind… shame, I thought I was onto a good thing there for a while.
