the free version of this plugin comes with the PayPal and Google Checkout payment options. If you want to integrate with an Authorize.net merchant account you need to upgrade to their Gold Upgrade which gives you that ability.

If you enable the sidebar widget for the categories, you will be able to see the url structure of each category. They look like this... ?page_id=3&category=2

You can just link to those if all you are trying to do is put a category on a page. It's already done!

I have tried putting the php code specified under shop settings into the pages, and it doesn't seem to do anything. I have tried two different plugins (runPHP and PHP Exec), which are supposed to allow php in pages/posts, but still no luck. Do you use a different plugin to do this? I have also had the same problem with adding any code to widgets.

There are a few options that you do have. It is a little flexible. But if you go into your admin area under the Ecommerce tab, go to the "Shop Settings" tab. In there, you will see the different options. I typically use the Widget called "Categories & Brands", and that links dynamically to each individual category. But as you see, you can put some PHP code into individual pages to have further control. It specifies that on the "Shop Settings" page.

I hope that helps!

Hi,

Your sites using WP e-Commerce look really great.

I'm just starting to use the program for a site I'm designing and one small problem I'm having is setting up categories to appear on individual pages. How did you set that up? Is there a code like [category=""] that you put in the body of the page?

Thanks for your help,
Francine

Thank you for putting the project together. It's great to know you are approachable! I'm sure myself or some of the readers will have some questions. But overall it's a very intuitive plugin, which makes it easy to use for everyone. Keep up the great work on it!

Hello. I just wanted to say thanks for posting about WP e-Commerce.

If you get stuck, need a hand, want to talk about features... I'm approachable :)

Ciao,

Dan
