You are right that this blog solution is better than a wordpress integration, however, it does not allow for sub category creation so you would either have way too many categories than you should for root categories and articles are then hard to find…

BUT

if you are not going to use the service for a lot of blogging then its a great solution, also a great solution to CMS mangento as opposed to the standard CMS provided which is pretty weak.

Open MagentoConnect settings in your admin and change preferred state from “stable” to “beta” and try installing again.
