The blog is built using the Wordpress content management system, and it features quite a few cool features and types of content. Because of that I wanted to give you a peek at all the plugins that I have used on the site, which I hope will give you some ideas and inspiration for your own blog project with Wordpress.

This plugin is a new favorite of mine. I’m using to display product feeds from my Linkshare account for NBA.com. Basically it’s an affiliate store that I can easily manage which products from NBA.com are displayed. Very cool plugin!

WP Wall

This gives a “facebook wall” type functionality to my wordpress blog. People can leave posts on the wall when they come and visit the site.

WP Post Views

WP Post Ratings

Sitemap Generator

FlickrRSS

I’m using this plugin to display random 14 pictures on the homepage on my favorites list with Flickr. The pictures show up in thumbnails and when clicked on go to flickr.
Get Recent Comments

Tubepress
This plugin is one of the most valuable to this particular blog. I’m using it to on the page called “Kobe TV” to show various Kobe Bryant highlights and video mix’s.

This plugin is definitely my favorite wordpress plugin right now! I use it for text link ads. Basically I am able to choose which keywords or keyphrases thrughout the site that I want linked to specific affiliate links!

I ma surprised you aren’t having your host say you are utilizing excessive resources on their server. Wordpress is a notable resource hog and all those plugins may eventually catch up to you as it did to me on my largest blog.
