Magento Production Version Coming Soon

According to the Roadmap for Magento a production version of the open source shopping cart will be out in the first quarter of next year 2008. This is great news to all who are in need of building an online shopping cart for any reason. Zen-Cart is awesome and all, but it appears that Magento is going to be the top dog. It’s features far outweigh Zen-Cart and give many of us what we have been looking for for a long time with an open source shopping cart. Look out for this new version to come out. Hopefully it comes out even sooner. I know many people who could benefit from this new open source project immediately. That’s not to say that I don’t like Zen-Cart. I hope it stays around and gives Magento a run for it’s money. That will keep both projects honest and open source for a long time.

Magento 1.0 is available since 03/31/08 and we´ve done a lot of testing up to now. We´re absolutely sure, that Magento will be the benchmark in open source shop-software in the near future. The tool is very stable for such a new software-product and the developers are working hard to get the knwon bugs fixed and to do improvements and implement new features. Magento is a blast! Very good jobs guys!
