There are several social networking sites out on the internet today. Some are just huge and cover everything like Myspace and Facebook. Some are more genre or industry specific like digg.com for articles on the internet. Or Youtube for videos. Realedin.com is a social network specifically for the Real Estate industry. Think of it like a Facebook or Myspace for Real Estate. What does this mean? Oh boy it means tons of things. It means that anybody, through the internet, can build their own personal real estate network. And of course it’s free! Otherwise I would not be mentioning it.

If you are a real estate professional of any kind, this tool will be huge for you in getting new customers. It will solve a huge internet marketing problem that many real estate agents and realtor’s face. Getting new customers and contacts and generates leads will be a problem of the past. You will be able to create large networks of people all across the country.

If you are just a real estate investor like me, and which we should all be at one time during our life (if we want to own at least one home), you will be able to build a network of professionals around you. Real estate agents, realtor’s, lenders, and other active investors.  For example, what if you live in Utah like me, but am interested in investing in properties outside of Utah? Who do I turn to? Who can give me good advice? Good information? What if I could build a team in different locations that I am interested in investing in? One in Arizona, one in Nevada, one in Alaska, etc. You get my point right? This open source real estate social networking tool called Realedin.com is huge. It’s going to be huge for all of us. A great opportunity that we should all capitalize on. Go to their site today at www.realedin.com and sign up for a free account.

Gootube.net: A real estate videos site integrated with Google Maps. A really cool site for finding new properties nationally and learning more in depth information about those properties!

Apparently every home needs a hug, or “hugg” in this case. Incredible Agent has beta launched a new site, HomeHugg.com, a home bookmarking community where users upload listings and comment on them. The company says the site is “100% driven by the Web community. Therefore, HomeHugg does not receive any information from the MLS or pull listings from the Internet.” The site ranks homes with “huggs” much the way that Digg ranks news stories with “diggs.” The site becomes like a sheet of notebook paper where consumers can save homes they’ve found from several different sites and return back to when it’s time to find them again, compare, etc.
At first glance, this site seems like yet another site for listings, but it’s not a listings site at all. It’s more of a search and save tool for consumers, so a very new concept.

Yahoo has teamed up with Zillow to create a home valuation search on Yahoo real estate.

The value of homes can easily be searched for free, and users can find an instant home value estimation based on homes in the general area of your search.

When you search for a residence, a map with your area is put together with 10 other comparable properties in the area are drawn out. Yahoo has also integrated a trend graph to show price trends historically for the area in question.
