Coming to you straight from clickconsultants.com is a quick run through on how to use PHP on your affiliate website to Redirect all of your Affiliate Links. There is much debate on the different ways you can accomplish this task. This article just explains the PHP way to do it. This method allows you to control several affiliate links on your website from one location. Much easier to manage. Follow me!

If you hovered over a link using this method, you’d most likely see a URL that looks like this…

http://www.clickconsultants.com/goto/wordze.php
or
http://www.clickconsultants.com/recommend/wordze.php

So let’s explain how this works. The first thing you need to do is log into the FTP of your site and create a folder. You can give this folder the name goto, recommend, or whatever else you may feel works well for your site. The next step is to open up notepad or any other simple text editor and add the following code to it

<?php
header( 'Location: http://www.youraffiliateurl.com/' ) ;
?>

You would of course replace www.youraffiliateurl.com with the actual site or affiliate offer that you want. Next, you simply save this file using whatever name you want that would describe it. For example, I could link to Wordze and save the file as wordze.php. Next, upload the file into the folder your created above. You know have a link which would look something like this.

http://www.clickconsultants.com/goto/wordze.php

You can then use this link in all your articles, landing pages, etc and if you ever need to change the affiliate url, you would simply open up the wordze.php file and change the link, thus, allowing you to change the link across your entire site instantly.

I love funny t-shirts! Bustedtees.com as well as Snorgtees.com are two websites that I check often to see what new shirts are available. I swear they have the funniest shirts you can find anywhere. But one problem I do have is that I don’t always appreciate the crude humor. I enjoy the clean stuff, stuff that makes me laugh without having to be “dirty”. Both Bustedtees.com and Snorgtees.com have a ton of both clean humor and dirty humor tee shirts. Here’s an example of some of their stuff:

So what I decided to do is create CleanTees.net - a compilation of all the clean/funny tees from both sites combined. So if you appreciate clean humor like me, you can just use CleanTees.net to search through all the clean ones, without having to view the dirty ones. I have not yet added all the snorgtees.com apparel quite yet. But all of Bustedtees.com is in there. As well as some funny tees from CafePress.

From an affiliate marketing perspective, this idea came from a frustration of having to look through crude humor to get to clean humor. So I decided to create an avenue for people who are interested in this topic. I spend about 1-2 hours every week updating the site to keep it the most up to date with new products. The images are Ads that come from my Commission Junction account. I get $5 for every purchase that comes through my website. The website itself is a simple CSS template, that I customized. The website overall took me a total of 3 1/2 hours to completely put together! Not too bad!

After hours and hours of searching I came back to the answer I found almost 2 years ago. That is that WPAds is by far the best open source Ad Manager plugin for Wordpress. For some reason I forgot about the plugin, and I was in need of an Ad Management plugin for this very blog. After installing nearly 6 different plugins, this one had everything I needed, and of course it’s compatible with the newest version of Wordpress. Here’ s a screenshot of the plugin in action in the back end of Wordpress:

This screenshot is what you see when you create a new ad. What you do is give it a title, input your code from our ad, then give the ad a zone. That zone is what is used in the PHP code the plugin then gives you to input into your template. What this means is that you can create as many ads as you want to the same zone! Allowing for the randomizing of ads in once place! You can set the ad to have a maximum amount of views if you want to, and also give the ad a weight above or below any other ads on that same zone.

The screenshot above shows you the reporting of the views served for each individual ad. This would be known as “Impressions” for you PPC addicts. The plugin is easy to install, easy to setup, and easy to manage. I highly recommend it for ad management for any Wordpress blog!

Earn $$ with WidgetBucks!My new found love for affiliate marketing online is Widget Bucks! I have heard many things about Widget Bucks over the past few months but paid no attention to what people were saying. I’ve been sucked in. I typically don’t like banner ads but Widget Bucks has a different way of showing ads on your site that you can make money off of. You also make money on a cost per click basis rather than having to depend on someone purchasing through your website which is always an advantage. If you are interested or already involved in affiliate marketing online and don’t currently use Widget Bucks go sign up right away.

You can use Widget Bucks in a few ways. Remember, the first step is having a website that gets a good amount of traffic each day. Whether it be a website of yours or simply just a blog. Make sure you are getting some traffic to your site or have a plan to get lots of traffic to your site. Widget Bucks allows you to post a widget which generates ads based on the content of your website. You can put that widget in a friendly place where it is more likely that someone will click on. You can also specify which particular topic of ads you want rather than relying on the tool to give you content generated ads. I personally use both. There are many bloggers and webmasters out their on the Internet today that are making pretty good money using Widget Bucks. Try it out for yourself with me and we can test together how well this tool really works.

LinkShare.com is an affiliate bank or warehouse as I like to call it. It’s a tool that allows you to manage several of your affiliate accounts all in one place. Saving you countless hours and helping you organize your affiliate efforts. There are a few other companies that do the same thing as LinkShare.com but they just don’t do it quite as well. The interface for LinkShare.com is easier and better to use than any other you will find in the market.

Whether you do affiliate marketing on a large scale, or you just have a website on the internet, I recommend signing up for an account with LinkShare.com and start placing some ads that are relevant to your site. That way you can make yet another stream of income with your websites. LinkShare.com is fast, free, and easy to setup. Check it out.
